Why Facebook Is Great For Marketing Your Practice?
I’ve been doing this for a while and I’ve had a lot of success using Facebook to help my client’s grow their practice using Facebook.
I find doctors are hesitant to market on Facebook because they think it’s not a professional platform. But that can’t be further from the truth.
As a doctor if you are trying to grow your practice, you are trying to reach out to your every day Joe. We are all social creatures and we use Facebook to stay in touch with what’s happening in this world. So if you want to reach out to people, hang out where your patients are hanging out!
Now, here are top 3 reasons why it makes the most sense for doctors to use the social media giant to advertise their services.
1. Custom-targeted audience
This is the No.1 reason I recommend Facebook for my clients.
Facebook advertising campaigns are built around specific audiences. Being able to select your ideal audience from their personal demographics to their specific interests allows you to direct your marketing resources to the right people.
Have you heard of the Facebook Custom Audience Tool? This tool enables marketers to upload lists of contacts such as emails and phone numbers so you can target them with certain ads.
This is perfect for doctors with only a few hundred contacts to reach out to people that have a similar profile to their current patient demographics! Just imagine that.
2. Maximum visibility at minimum cost
Currently, Facebook is at #3 for the most populated online platform with 1.79 billion active monthly users.
Advertising on Facebook is comparatively cheaper than on Google. Also, Facebook video views are cheaper than YouTube.
Otherwise traditionally, marketing activities that would cost thousands of dollars through other channels can be used on Facebook for a fraction of the cost.
The average Facebook ad costs just $10-20 per thousand impressions. In addition, you can set and control your own budget so you don’t face unexpected marketing costs.
3.The ability to measure results
Don’t take my word for it: measure the ROI yourself. The free Facebook Insights tool lets you track the results of your Facebook marketing, including ads and organic posts. You can get detailed information about how prospective customers are engaging with your business on Facebook, such as how many likes you got this week and how that compares to past measures, what type of engagement you received (likes, comments and shares) on posts, and which ads drove traffic to your website or other actions. You can even go down to the specifics and get the cost of each lead/patient inquiry if you set this up correctly.
The ability to track and measure results increases the efficiency and effectiveness of your marketing efforts significantly. You know where and when you should be investing your effects in and it’s no longer a guessing game.
What do you think about Facebook for growing your Practice?
Time is perhaps the most valuable asset in business. Facebook is great for doctors looking to build their credibility quickly so they can see what works and what doesn’t without hassle.
Let me know what you think, I would love to hear from you.
